Apply La Poudre with a powder brush or the powder puff provided. Begin by tapping off any excess powder on the back of your hand, then apply to the T-zone. You can apply it after La Crème du Teint or Le Multicorrecteur, or directly onto bare skin.
You can also use La Poudre for touch-ups during the day to mattify your complexion. Apply it all over the face or simply focus on areas where you want to even out your skin tone.
What is the difference between loose powder and compact powder?
Loose powder is lightweight and provides a more natural finish. Its drier texture mattifies the complexion more effectively. Compact powder is more practical and easy to use but tends to accentuate fine lines as it is thicker.
What is the preferred application method?
We recommend applying it with a large powder brush, but if you're on the go, the puff provided with the container will be very useful for quick touch-ups!
In how many shades is it available?
Our loose powder is available in a universal translucent shade.
Is it suitable for pregnant women?
La Poudre does not contain essential oils, so it can be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
7 Active ingredients
Silica
Silica is a very fine and gentle powder that, in addition to absorbing excess sebum, provides a silky finish on the skin. With its round, porous microspheres, it reduces the oily finish moisturizers can have, giving a fresh, velvety, and powdered effect.
The round shape of the microspheres diffuses light, helping to blur wrinkles and imperfections and smooth the appearance of the skin's micro-relief.
7 Active ingredients
Safflower Oil
Loved by sensitive and reactive skin, Safflower oil is rich in vitamin K. This vitamin intervenes in the process of blood coagulation and is therefore very interesting for skin suffering from rosacea.
Safflower oil also contains elements derived from serotonin (the happiness hormone) and vitamin E, which both have restructuring and reparative properties, and promote skin elasticity.
7 Active ingredients
Sunflower oil
Rich in omega-6, Sunflower oil is perfect to fight dryness and skin dehydration. It slows down water loss, plumps the skin and helps to maintain its elasticity and suppleness.
7 Active ingredients
Aloe Vera
One of the most widely used medicinal plants, Aloe Vera is used to treat burns, including sunburn, to heal wounds and to combat cellular aging. Its composition is very interesting: like a cactus, it contains over 99% water. The remaining 1% is a very potent synergy of 12 vitamins (A, B1, B2, B3, B12, C, E...) but also numerous minerals, trace elements and amino acids.
7 Active ingredients
Corn Starch
Corn Starch helps to absorb and control sebum, to prevent caking, while its soothing properties make it ideal for sensitive and reactive skin.
7 Active ingredients
Tapioca
Tapioca starch comes from the roots of cassava, a plant native to South America. In cosmetics, it is valued for its absorbent properties, ideal for controlling excess sebum. Its soft texture also makes it a popular ingredient in powders and creams. Additionally, it soothes sensitive skin due to its softening properties.
7 Active ingredients
Sodium Hyaluronate
Sodium hyaluronate is a salt derived from hyaluronic acid, a molecule naturally present in the body, particularly in the skin, joints, and eyes. It is primarily obtained through bacterial fermentation.
In cosmetics, it is valued for its powerful hydrating properties, as it can retain up to 1000 times its weight in water. This helps to plump the skin and reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. It is also used to soothe and protect the skin barrier, promoting smoother and more hydrated skin.
The average score of La Poudre is 4.6 out of 5 after the 87 experience feedbacks gathered from our clients.

What is a loose powder?
Face powder is an essential step in your face makeup routine – plus it's a product that works with all skin types. Whether you apply loose powder to mattify your T-zone or set your foundation (or, of course, La Crème du Teint!), it's a must-have if you want to show off a flawless complexion. Loose powder has a very fine, light texture, and most often comes in a very fair or white translucent shade that can be used on all skin tones. It offers several benefits, to meet different needs:
- Reduces shine by absorbing excess sebum
- Protects the skin against environmental aggressors
- Smoothes the skin without clogging pores
- Minimizes the appearance of pores
It's the ultimate makeup product for anyone who wants to make their complexion look beautiful with a few sweeps of a brush, whether or not they're wearing foundation.
Is loose powder suitable for all skin types?
However, no matter how "universal" loose powder may be, it doesn't always work well on dry skin, and can even make it sensitive. Due to its composition, it can cause dry areas to become more visible and accentuate the signs of aging (wrinkles and fine lines) and small creases in the skin. A "bad" loose powder may also leave white marks, which can make your skin look blotchy and uneven.
With the aim of finding a solution to address all these concerns, Absolution created the ideal loose powder. Not only does it offer skin-caring makeup; it is also certified organic and vegan.
La Poudre works to set makeup and gives a very natural finish, thanks to some very talented active ingredients such as:
- Natural Silica is perfect for minimizing the appearance of pores and setting makeup. Frequently used in face makeup products, silica has a matte effect and a non-oily feel, making it excellent for combination and oily skin.
- Tapioca starch absorbs excess sebum, soothes, and hydrates.
- Sodium Hyaluronate, a salt derived from Hyaluronic Acid and even more easily absorbed by the skin, provides intense hydration.
- Aloe Vera: Hydrates, regenerates the epidermis, and soothes skin issues.
- Safflower Oil: Nourishes, hydrates, and soothes all skin types with a non-greasy finish.
La Poudre immediately leaves skin looking radiant and feeling incredibly comfortable. No tightness, no dryness and no creasing. It is scent-free and can be used by all skin types – even the most sensitive ones.
